My man the hunter...

Travis got a 2 point last weekend up by Fish Lake. He loves the bowhunt! He looks forward to it as much, if not more than Christmas. Anyone that knows Travis, knows this about him. He had spent 2 weekend trips at the usual family camping spot by Sigurd, Utah with no luck. They did see a lot of Elk. He saw the biggest elk he had ever seen at about 10 yards distance. He said it's antlers were so big that it's back tines went past his hind quarters when it stood. It was a different color than all the other bulls and it's antlers were dark and thick as a mans arm. He also saw three black bears up there and shot a couple of pine hens. The pine hens were eaten and breakfast, lunch and dinner. He stayed at the Marriot in Richfeild when he hunted by Fish Lake. He and Mike stayed up late watching hunting shows and headed out at first light. He said he hiked his "ass" off to get his buck. Which was a funny story in itself. He and Mike both drew back on the buck. Travis shot first and missed and it was followed up with a rump shot right through the flank. That slowed the buck down and they tried to track it carefully. They came up on it in the bushes about 5 yards off from Travis. He lifted his Bow up over the bush and let and arrow fly without aiming. Got it right through the heart. They are going to tag team it from now on.
